Canyon House
This original Mid Century home had all the original elements in tact from the 1960’s. The kitchen was dark and cavernous, the main living room had a huge circular fireplace that blocked the views out into the valley, and the back bedrooms and bathrooms were dark and outdated. Timelessness and modernity was the theme when creating a concept for the renovation.
Working with this couple and keeping their two high school daughters in mind and energetic dog, they wanted an updated, clean-lined open concept space they could all use and enjoy together. The kitchen was completely reconfigured to maximize storage, and maintain enough space that a family of four could cook together without feeling crammed. The daughters shared bathroom was designed to create a spa-like experience with all the components necessary to support two people in there together.
